Bernese Mountain dogs desire attention and require a close bond with their family. They are best suited to a family with kids who will play with them and take them on daily walks. Alternatively, they could be suitable for a young couple who can ensure their play drive is met.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are prone to hip dysplasia. They need careful exercise while they're still puppies so as not to damage their joints.
